Description: Located, in Ashe County, Doughton Park covers over 6000 acres and has over 30 miles of hiking trails that vary in length and distance. Included in this park is the7.5 mile Bluff Mountain Trail.
Elevation: 1425 feet to 3800 feet
Birding: Due to its size, Doughton Park has many diverse habitats, so it supports a variety of birds.uch as Swainson’s Warblers, Blue Grosbeak and the Yellow-billed Cuckoo.
